Horse Racing used to be the only legalized gambling in Hong Kong. The
Shatin Racecourse is a very important place for many Hong Kong people.
The Shatin Racecourse house the world's only Paddock which has a
retractable roof. It can open and close depending on the weather.
The Shing Mun River Channel runs along the Racecourse and the To Lo Harbour
is at the top left corner of the photos. You can also see many high rise apartment
